Visitor analytics

DebateOS uses first-party analytics to understand which sections people visit and whether the site is working well.

What the site records

For each page visit, DebateOS records the visit time, page or workspace section, referring website’s domain, and a broad device category. A random browser identifier is used to distinguish guest browsers. If you are signed in, the visit is associated with your DebateOS account identifier, display name, and profile role.

Profile photos

If you upload a profile photo, DebateOS stores a resized copy with your account. It is shown to signed-in members only when you choose to make your network profile visible. You can remove it from Account & settings.

What the site does not record

The DebateOS application does not store your IP address, precise location, full browser fingerprint, or full referrer URL. Analytics are not used for ad retargeting.

Access and retention

Visitor activity is visible only in the owner’s protected admin dashboard. Detailed page-visit records are kept for up to 90 days. Daily aggregate counts and account records may be retained longer to understand overall site usage and operate DebateOS.

Guest browser identifier

The random guest identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data in your browser resets it. If you have a question about this analytics data, contact DebateOS at tejasjalan11@gmail.com.
